Leonardo Yachts

EAGLE NEW BOAT MODELS

Leonardo Yachts was founded by two brothers, Steven & Melle Boersma. The brothers Boersma set up shop in the Netherlands for the sole purpose of building the world’s finest daysailers. Modeled after the lovely J-Class racing yachts of a bygone era, they created a range from 38 to 70 feet that sails with the feel and balance of a racing yacht while offering top fit and finish with an eye to comfort and beauty.

Located at the heart of the premium Dutch yachtbuilding industry in the Northern part of the Netherlands , we serve an international clientele worldwide with beautiful daysailers called the Eagle. Our portfolio consists of the Eagle 38, Eagle 44, Eagle 54 and the Eagle 70. In 2011 the Eagle 44 was nominated as European boat of the year in the category special boats. Many boats have been built and delivered worldwide. From Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Europe to North America. Our dream is to build beautiful daysailers that make heads turn. Our staff is committed to support our customers during the ownership of an Eagle as much as possible. We work with leading designers and maintain long-term relationships with our partners.

With a grandfather who started building wooden racing dinghies in the 1950s and a father who specialized in the construction of steel motoryachts, Steven and Melle come from a pedigree boatbuilding family. Raised in the northern part of the Netherlands, where much of their youth was spent racing on the famous Frisian lakes, a passion for sailing was born. This has since been translated into thriving careers for both the brothers. Steven started his first company Da Vinci Yachts at the start of the millennium. This company is still going strong today and has already provided over 140 owners with a superb boat. Our boats are known for good quality and maintaining a high valuation at the second hand market.
